IASA's highly acclaimed publication "TC 03"*, prepared by the IASA Technical Committee and available in seven languages, is now also published in Chinese for free download from:

The translations was made by IASA Member Chun zen Huang, assisted by Bixuan Huan, in cooperation with Jiongde He. The editorial work was done by Dietrich Schüller in cooperation with Li Huang.

The IASA Executive Board has granted an extension for the submissions of proposals for presentations, posters and panel discussions for the 43rd IASA Annual Conference, to be held in New Delhi, India, 7-11 October 2012.
The closing date for submissions has been extended to February 28, 2012

Applications are invited for a PhD Studentship starting in September 2012 to undertake research in Semantic Audio. This is an important emerging research area in Sound and Music Computing, pioneering the technologies that underpin new user experiences of music, from the recording studio to the living room.
