 The 12th Film Restoration and Preservation Workshop
   
As the 12th edition of Japan's longest-standing film archival training course, this workshop is organized this year in Tokyo by the group of film lab technicians and archivists and with the support of National Film Center.  Open to the public including overseas students (pls note that teaching language is Japanese).
  

An event hosted by the Focus On Asia Fukuoka International Film Festival, the Fukuoka City Public Library Film Archive and the Japan Foundation-Asia Center with the endorsement of SEAPAVAA and FIAF, Restoration Asia IV will showcase the work of archives, technical service providers and distributors, both from within and outside Asia, to highlight the measures being taken to preserve the audio-visual heritage of Asia.

We are pleased to announce the final programme for the workshop “Metadata Management in Film Archives – Putting the Cinematographic Works Standard EN 15907 to use and introducing the new FIAF Cataloguing Manual”. It will be held at the ZEM in Potsdam,  29-30 March 2017.

Announcing a special 40th edition of the ongoing technical symposium, The Reel Thing, to take place in Amsterdam over the course of three days, May 28 - 30, 2017, in conjunction with the EYE International Conference 2017.
