The IASA 2018 Conference Organising Committee is pleased to announce that our closing keynote speaker will be Kara Van Malssen, Senior Consultant at AVP. Kara has been visiting Ghana since 2008 to support the local audiovisual archive community and has been working with the J.H. Kwabena Nketia Archives at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, helping develop and grow their digitization and digital preservation programme.

The IASA 2018 Conference Organising Committee is pleased to announce that our opening keynote speaker will be Professor Esi Sutherland-Addy of the Institute of African Studies. Her research interests in written and oral literature, gender, performing arts as well as education and cultural policy will provide a valuable perspective to our conference delegates.
