GRANT OPPORTUNITY REMINDER: Funding for Digitization of At Risk Audiovisual Recordings
The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) will begin accepting applications on June 1, 2017 for the second call of the 'Recordings at Risk' program, a national re-granting program administered by CLIR to support the preservation of rare and unique recordings of high scholarly value in the United States. Generously funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation the program will award a total of $2.15 Million in three open competitions in 2017-2018.

CBC/Radio-Canada have announced the mass digitization of the public broadcaster’s audiovisual archive collection.
CBC will digitise 720,000 physical media assets (audio and video) while Radio-Canada will digitise more than 650,000 assets that include audio, video and film.

This online bibliography has been compiled collaboratively by Peter Laurence, Filip Sir, and a team of two students on behalf of the IASA Discography Committee. Many contributions were also made by individual collectors and discographers, as well as colleagues from peer associations and memory institutions.
Once complete, it will include information about all current and out-of-print discographies published worldwide in print and electronic formats, including unpublished work in progress.
