IASA Elections 2014
To all IASA Members:
2014 is an election year for the IASA Executive Board.
As stated in the constitution: “The Executive Board shall be elected by the members of the Association. Any member in good standing shall be eligible to stand for election.” - See more at: http://www.iasa-web.org/iasa-constitution#part3-Exec and further details about the Executive Board elections
This is your chance to step forward, or to encourage one of your colleagues to be nominated, and become more involved with IASA. Eight positions on the Executive Board are up for election: President, three Vice-Presidents, Secretary-General, Treasurer, Editor, and Web Manager.
At the annual conference held in Vilnius, the current Executive Board started the process by appointing a Nominating Committee:
Richard Green (chair) richard.green@bac-lac.gc.ca or greencaron@sympatico.ca
Christiane Fennesz-Juhasz Christiane.Fennesz-Juhasz@oeaw.ac.at
Will Prentice Will.Prentice@bl.uk
All IASA members in good standing interested in serving on the Executive Board, or who would like to suggest others who could take up the challenge, should feel free to contact any member of the Nominating Committee. We welcome questions about the work of the Executive Board and the election process. The deadline to approach the Nominating Committee is Monday February 17, 2014. The Nomination Form is attached.
Being on the Executive Board does involve work but it is also a chance to participate in an interesting and vibrant international organization. There are challenges but there are also rewards. This is your chance to help set the bar for IASA for the next three years.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Richard, Christiane and Will
