Call for presentations extended

The BAAC annual conference will be held this year in Helsinki, Finland, October 3 - 5, 2012.
The conference will be hosted by the Finnish National Audiovisual Archive (KAVA), Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE), the Finnish Jazz and Pop Archive (JAPA) and the Finnish Institute of Recorded Sound.

Interesting report just out from the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on digital preservation challenges faced by independent filmmakers, documentarians and nonprofit audiovisual archives:

It follows an earlier 2007 report ("The Digital Dilemma") that focussed on digital preservation strategies for major Hollywood studios.

Because of other important business I was not able to come to Frankfurt. Now I have got the draft constitution dated 31 October 2011 and would like to comment.
I am since over 10 years member of the International IASA and some years later also member of the regional branch "Ländergruppe Deutschland/Deutschschweiz".
