27th October is UNESCO World Day for Audio Visual Heritage!

Last year an illustrated history of IASA was compiled by Ilse Assmann, Albrecht Häefner, Detlef Humbert, Dimitra Kitsiou, Grace Koch and Dietrich Schüller, with contributions from many other IASA members, and with support from Spiros Ioannou, Alekos Spyrou and Anna Zioga, for a commemorative CD issued at the 2009 IASA Annual conference in Athens.

Sponsored by the Hellenic National Audiovisual Archive (HeNAA) to celebrate 40 years of IASA from 1969-2009, the contents of the CD are now available on this website:

It's often said that the average life of a website is just 44 days. Already the websites of older IASA conferences from just a few years ago are lost or difficult to find.
