A new project launched this week, Europeana Sounds, will bring together online, for public access, over a million sound and associated digitised items from leading audio archives and libraries across Europe.
Europeana Sounds is funded by the European Union under its ICT Policy Support Programme as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programm.
The project will last for three years. IASA will help to ensure the sustainability of the network that will be created during the project by creating a European section. More details on the project:

You’ve probably heard that a drastic cut was made in the budget for the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) from 9 billion to 1 billion euros.
Many of you responded to our recent request to send letters to your MEPs, to national contacts in Brussels and to your own government ministers and we thank you hugely for that.
