My collection of more than 200 gramophones and nearly 100,000 records are being moved into a new building in Plassanal, Kerala, India. Inauguration of the Museum cum Archive is scheduled for 26th January 2015. A seminar will be conducted on 25th and 26th January.
I am maintaining a You-tube channel for uploading very old and rare recordings on Shellac records. Visit https://www.youtube.com/user/sunny78rpmmusic for viewing and hearing more than 400 recordings.

The All India Radio (AIR) sound archives is the largest library of music recordings in India, and also contains a large collection of spoken word recordings including interviews ranging from Pearl S Buck to George Harrison, speeches by Subhash Chandra Bose and public addresses by Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, and many others.

The nature, purpose and potential use of AV archives and the great cultural value and memories which these archives hold for nations and their peoples are not widely understood or properly appreciated.
The theme for the 18th SEAPAVAA Conference “AV Archives: Why They Matter” seeks to explore and discuss the myriad of issues listed below, during the two-day Symposium on 26 and 27 May 2014.
