The IASA Journal invites submissions for Issue 56, to be published in 2026. We welcome original research articles, case studies, reflections, reviews, and reports addressing all areas of sound and audiovisual archiving and preservation, including technical, theoretical, ethical, and practical perspectives. Authors of recent IASA conference presentations are invited to develop their work into more detailed accounts for publication in the journal.
Abstract deadline: 1 December 2025

Please mark your calendar for the IASA–Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council (BAAC) Joint Conference, taking place on 19–22 October 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
We are pleased to announce that JTS 2026 (Joint Technical Symposium) will be held in person for the first time in six years, hosted by the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia in Canberra. From 3-4 March 2026, audiovisual preservation professionals, students, and researchers will gather at the Arc Cinema to share innovations, research, and practical experiences in the preservation and management of sound and moving image collections.
