Certificate in Archives at University of Massachusetts Boston
The History Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston (www.umb.edu) invites international applications for its graduate-level Certificate in Archives.
The program offers courses and an internship that engage modern issues and knowledge in the archives field, and can be completed in one full year of study. Successful applicants will enroll in four courses (two each in the fall and spring semesters) and will have an internship in archival practice at one of Boston’s leading archival institutions.
Potential applicants who hold advanced degrees, and who already are working in the archives field or who expect to do so are especially encouraged to apply. Those pursing the Certificate will have opportunities to visit Boston-area archives and historical institutions during their studies. Applicants must complete and submit the University of Massachusetts Boston’s application for graduate study found at www.umb.edu/admissions/grad/international. Note that international students have additional admission requirements.
Inquiries regarding the Certificate in Archives are encouraged and should be addressed to archiveprogram@umb.edu, or by mail to: Professor Darwin H. Stapleton, Department of History, University of Massachusetts Boston, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston, MA 02125 USA.
