British and Irish Sound Archives (BISA) invites colleagues who work with or hold sound collections to join us for two days of presentations, practical sessions and collaborative discussions. This could involve engineers reporting on experimentation with analogue equipment or digital technology, researchers presenting on new academic findings, or sound archive practitioners sharing work which opens up new avenues for others to pursue research.

Sound Heritage Today: Developing, Managing and Making Use of Sound Archives in a Context of Change, Glasgow, 8 & 9 May 2024

We hope that many of you will join us for Sound Heritage Today, the 2024 BISA annual gathering in Glasgow on 8 & 9 May 2024. We also want to make sure that this event meets the needs of the wider sound archive community. With this in mind, we have decided to develop the program a bit differently this year by asking colleagues from the wider sound archives sector a few questions.
