The Association for Recorded Sound Collections annual Conference will be held May 14-17, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown.

The program will include individual presentations, posters, and panel discussions with sound recording scholars, collectors, preservationists, and creators engaged in a broad range of topics that cross geographic, cultural, and collection boundaries. There will also be a silent auction and social events offered each evening.

2024 IASA Award of Recognition

Lynn Johnson – 2024 IASA Award of Recognition

At this year's conference's general assembly, the Executive Board of IASA announced the 2024 IASA Award of Recognition. This award was given to Lynn for her years of service to IASA as a member and former Secretary General and to audiovisual heritage work on the African continent. The Executive Board extends this award to Lynn as a gesture of gratitude and acknowledgment of her contributions over her career.

Ilse Assmann, former IASA President, provided the Board with a tribute to Lynn. She writes:
