The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) has published "the first comprehensive, national-level study of the state of sound recording preservation ever conducted in the U.S.". The Association for Recorded Sound Collections invites proposals for presentations at its 45th annual conference, to be held May 11-14, 2011, in Los Angeles.
ARSC welcomes papers on the preservation and study of sound recordings--in all genres of music and speech, in all formats, and from all periods. We seek papers and panels that are informative, display a passion for their subjects, and include compelling audio and visual content.
