The IASA Training & Education Committee is delighted to announce that the second edition of the IASA Preservation Training Programme will be held at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SHCM) in China from 21 to 31 August 2023.  

Nadja Wallaszkovits (professor for Conservation and Restoration of New Media and Digital Information at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, Germany), Enric Giné (Founder and Restoration Engineer at Tasso Laboratori de So, and University lecturer), and Adam Tovell (Head of Technical Services at the British Library Sound Archive) - are the three appointed trainers. A total of 24 trainees - audio engineers and AV archivists - from universities, cultural heritage organisations and private companies from all over China will attend the training.
