The 2025 ASRA Conference

The Australasian Sound Recordings Association (ASRA) is pleased to announce its 2025 Conference, to be held in Sydney and online from 30–31 October 2025. Under the theme Reflections on “Deadline 2025”: The Past, Present, and Future.

The conference will bring together archivists, researchers, and practitioners to critically examine the progress made since the landmark 2015 report Deadline 2025: Collections at Risk. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and case studies, the event will provide a platform to share experiences, assess preservation strategies, and consider future directions in safeguarding sound heritage. The program will also feature opportunities for professional exchange, technical insights, and cultural reflection, reinforcing ASRA’s commitment to the ongoing preservation and accessibility of audio collections across the region.
