Joint Technical Symposium 2026

We are pleased to announce that JTS 2026 (Joint Technical Symposium) will be held in person for the first time in six years, hosted by the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia in Canberra. From 3-4 March 2026, audiovisual preservation professionals, students, and researchers will gather at the Arc Cinema to share innovations, research, and practical experiences in the preservation and management of sound and moving image collections. With a particular emphasis on technology, collaboration, and format-agnostic practices, the program will also feature sessions devoted to student contributions and voices traditionally underrepresented in the field. Join us for two days of thought leadership, technical exchange, and connection with colleagues from around the world.
