KUAC-FM archival recordings available online

More than 120 hours of archival recordings from KUAC-FM, the public radio station in Fairbanks, Alaska, are now available for listening online.

The KUAC-FM Audiotapes Collection consists of nearly 950 open-reel audiotapes containing original local KUAC-FM programs from the late 1970s through the 1990s. It is held at the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Elmer E. Rasmuson Library.

Call for papers - Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council conference 2018

The BAAC 15th Annual Conference will be held from November 7 – 9, 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia. The conference will be hosted by the Estonian Film Museum. Its new modern venue opened in 2017, and the museum has engaging interactive exhibition about the filmmaking process as well as a modern cinema hall with the possibility for conferences and small theatre plays.

The main theme of this year’s conference is concerned with sharing experiences in making audiovisual (AV) archival material visible and usable for a wider audience.
