The British Computer Society's Information Retrieval Specialist Group's annual European Conference on Information Retrieval is the main European forum for the presentation of new research results in the field of Information Retrieval. ECIR 2012 is the 34th anniversary of this conference series and will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from the 1st to the 5th of April 2012. The conference is organised by Yahoo! Research and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, supported by BCS IRSG.
