The IASA Journal invites submissions for Issue 56, to be published in 2026. We welcome original research articles, case studies, reflections, reviews, and reports addressing all areas of sound and audiovisual archiving and preservation, including technical, theoretical, ethical, and practical perspectives. Authors of recent IASA conference presentations are invited to develop their work into more detailed accounts for publication in the journal.
Abstract deadline: 1 December 2025

27 October 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage (WDAVH)—a global initiative established by UNESCO in cooperation with the Coordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations (CCAAA). This day celebrates the richness and diversity of our audiovisual heritage and raises awareness of the urgent need to preserve it.
