The Audiovisual Artifact Atlas
The Audiovisual Artifact Atlas (AVAA) is a wiki explaining with examples the various kinds of artifacts that can occur in sound and moving image recordings http://preservation.bavc.org/artifactatlas/index.php/A/V_Artifact_Atlas
The IU Media Preservation Blog recently posted an article written by Geoff Willard about the developments the AVAA has made over the past two years: http://mediapreservation.wordpress.com/2013/09/25/av-artifact-atlas/
The AVAA includes a "Sound Gallery" http://preservation.bavc.org/artifactatlas/index.php/Sound_Gallery that brings the function of browsing to the search for audio artifacts by presenting the embedded audio players in a playlist format.
The AVAA can always benefit from contributions from users and experts like you. If you want to know how you can help, visit the Contributor's Guide: http://preservation.bavc.org/artifactatlas/index.php/Contributing_Conten...
