8.4 kilometres of shelving for Australia's audiovisual collection

The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia’s CEO, Michael Loebenstein, officially opened the NFSA’s newest collection preservation facility in Canberra on 3 December.
- 8.48 kilometres of Australian made shelving
- International standards for audiovisual collection storage
- First collection to move will be 71,000 cans of colour film weighing approximately 81,000 kilograms
- 4 vaults designed to be individually controlled with separate temperature and humidity levels
- Secondary site for data storage facility for the digital collection
- Facility can withstand external temperatures of -4 to 37 degrees
