Registration open - BAAC conference 2014

The online registration for the Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council's (BAAC) annual conference is now open at http://baacouncil.org/registration-form. "Early bird" fee is valid until August 31, 2014.

The BAAC conference 2014 "Safe and reusable: ideals versus real life" will be held from September 17 to 19 this year in Riga, Latvia, in the new building of the National Library of Latvia, also called „The Castle of Light” - an impressive sight and one of the largest new cultural buildings in the Northern Hemisphere in the 21st century. The conference will be hosted by the National Library of Latvia, in cooperation with the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art (University of Latvia), the National Archives of Latvia and Museum of the Occupation of Latvia.

There will be professional tours to the Latvian Radio and Latvia's State Audiovisual Archive, as well as of the new library building itself.
The conference language will be English.
