67th FIAF Congress

The National Film, Video and Sound Archives (NFVSA) a component
of the National Archives and Records Service of South Africa, invites you to participate in the 67th Congress of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) in Pretoria, South Africa.

The FIAF Congress will take place in the Administrative Capital of South Africa from 11 – 16 April 2011. Pretoria is located in
the northern part of Gauteng Province, South Africa. Pretoria is also referred to as Tshwane.

The NFVSA will be hosting the FIAF Summer School two weeks prior to the FIAF Congress. As part of the Congress, the NFVSA run a Film Festival on African Continent Productions with daily screenings.
The main Symposium of the Congress will take place under the title “Indigenous Audiovisual Heritage in Africa and Around the World”, and will focus on collections and their preservation.
