5th Annual seminar of Gramophone Museum and Archive, Kerala

Dear Friends,

Discs & Machines Gramophone Museum and Records Archive, Kerala is completing four years on 25th January 2019.
Fifth annual seminar is scheduled for Sunday, 27th January 2019 from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM in the scenic backwaters of Cochin.
2019 is important to Indians being the 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Considering this, the main focus of this years seminar will be on the recordings of Mahatma Gandhi and on recordings about Mahatma Gandhi. This year, we are conducting the Seminar on a Boat in the Backwaters of Cochin. So, the presentations will be focusing more on audio than visuals.

Call for paper presentations
This time power point presentations only will be accepted. Duration of the presentation must be not more than 50 minutes giving more emphasis to audio from old recordings. Five minutes will be allowed for interaction. Last date of receipt of drafts of paper presentations is 15th December, 2018. Number of presentations is limited to three.

Seminar Registration
Number of Delegates is limited to 40. There is no cut off date for registration, but number of seats are limited. As such, it is advisable to register in advance.
Registration fee is Rs.750 ($11) for the seminar including light refreshments in the boat. Lunch will be arranged. Boat boarding location will be announced later.
Assistance for booking accommodation in Cochin/ trip to Discs & machines Gramophone Museum and stay in the Museum will be made on request.

Museum is 75 kilometers east of Cochin . Search "Sunny's gramophone museum" on google for finding links to sites of Google, TripAdvisor etc...on the Museum.
