What is the significance of IASA to you?
“IASA is a dynamically renewing, international organisation that not only provides great help in practical matters of audiovisual and sound archives around the world but also cares about a high level of strategic thinking on the meaning of archiving sound and moving images to the future of humanity.”
What are your current projects?
“I am participating in a large project aiming at the preservation of early recordings in China, the training of staff at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, especially the Center for Ritual and Ceremonial Music in China, the implementation of international archiving standards, and an improved accessibility of recordings. I am also frequently visiting other archives and projects in Southeast Asia, where I was previously working.”
