Welcome to the 2^nd International Workshop on Digital Philology for the Preservation of Multimedia Archives.

Save the date! Tuesday, 18 October 2016 at Villa Contarini – Fondazione G.E. Ghirardi, in Piazzola sul Brenta, near Padova, Italy.

The Workshop brings together experts across the humanities and hard sciences to discuss the role of digital philology in the preservation of multimedia cultural heritage.

We are pleased to announce the 37th edition of the ongoing technical symposium, The Reel Thing, to take place in Bologna, Italy on June 26 in conjunction with the 72^nd FIAF Congress and Il Cinema Ritrovato. The event, on the second day of the Symposium A New Life for the Cinema of the Past, will take place at the Teatro Comunale, Largo Respighi 1.

The National Endowment for the Humanities will host a one-day symposium on Friday, September 30 at The Constitution Center in Washington, D.C. titled Play/Back: Preserving Audiovisual Heritage.

The symposium aims to foster collaboration among humanities scholars, preservationists, educators, students, curators, and filmmakers. The proceedings will be free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required and space is limited.
