The Film, Sound & Photography Section of the Archives and Records
Association [FSPS] is pleased to announce its AGM and training event, which will be taking place at Hull History Centre on Tuesday 15th October 2013.

AMIA will host its first ever hack day on November 6, 2013 during the AMIA 2013 Conference in Richmond, VA. The event will be a unique opportunity for practitioners and managers of digital audiovisual collections to join with developers and engineers for an intense day of collaboration to develop solutions for digital audiovisual preservation and access. It will be fun and practical…and there will be prizes! This year's hack day is a partnership between AMIA and the Digital Library Federation.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally.
