Library of Congress launches the National Jukebox

The National Jukebox makes historical sound recordings available to the public free of charge, initially more than 10,000 78rpm disc sides issued by the Victor Talking Machine Company between 1900 and 1925. The Jukebox includes recordings from the extraordinary collections of the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation and other contributing libraries and archives: http://www.loc.gov/jukebox/

IASA TC04 Second Edition available

The Second Edition of the IASA-TC04, Guidelines on the Production and Preservation of Digital Audio Objects, was officially launched at The British Library's Unlocking Audio 2 Conference in London in March 2009.
