Our Museum is entering 6th year on 25th January 2020. As usual, anniversary is celebrated with a gathering of Gramophone and Music lovers, from 21st January 2020. Main attraction is seminar on subjects related to audio recordings to be held on 23rd January 2020.
Tentative Programme

Annual Seminar on 23rd January 2020:
The United Nations has designated 27 October as the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage aimed at building global awareness of the urgency and importance of preserving audiovisual materials such as sound recordings and moving images. These are among the most vulnerable types of heritage materials, due to the use of rapidly deteriorating materials in the construction of carriers and the impending obsolescence of playback machines, particularly for materials recorded on magnetic tape. For the first time in more than 25 years the FIAT/IFTA Executive Council and the IASA Board have decided to join forces and organize a joint conference with an integrated programme. The 51st IASA Conference will also be the 44th Conference of the Fédération Internationale des Archives de Télévision / The International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA).
The joint 51st IASA Conference and 44th FIAT/IFTA World Conference hosted by RTÉ, was due to be held from 26 to 29 October 2020, in Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
