Oral History annual conference

For many years the standard practice of transcribing or summarising interviews meant the auditory dimension of oral history was often underused. However, new digital technologies make audio and video oral history interviews, as well as extracts, much more readily available.

This interdisciplinary conference will investigate the extent to which the written word is redundant in oral history. Papers will showcase innovative uses of oral history, focusing on topics such as social media, ethics in the digital age and archivin
