Mentoring

Hi, I'm new to the IASA and wanted to join so I can learn more about s+a/V archives because there aren't any classes I can take focusing on this subject at my University. But, I'm sad that there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for new members. There are a bunch of general archives associations that have mentoring programs, but I chose to join this one because I think I want to pursue a career in s+A/V archives and I am also very interested in international issues and by boyfriend is Swiss. Please reach out to me if you are in the Washington, DC area and want to mentor me, I'd really appreciate it! Resume attached

Barbara, I recommend you attend the 2016 IASA conference in Washington in September where you'd be made very welcome and it's a good opportunity to meet many fellow AV archivists. See http://2016.iasa-web.org/ . And the programme includes our regular 'newcomers' session which will most likely be on Sunday 25th September. http://2016.iasa-web.org/programme
