Dear friends,

Our Museum is entering 6th year on 25th January 2020. As usual, anniversary is celebrated with a gathering of Gramophone and Music lovers, from 21st January 2020. Main attraction is seminar on subjects related to audio recordings to be held on 23rd January 2020.

Tentative Programme

Open house from 21st January 2020: exchange shellac and vinyl records.

Join Thomas Henry - Join IASA

Thomas Henry is Vice-chair of IASA Discography Committee and Ambassador of IASA for France. He is a collector of 78 rpm records, runs the blog Ceints de bakélite https://ceintsdebakelite.com/ and is the creator of the online mapping project Disquaires de Paris http://disquairesdeparis.fr/.

International Bibliography of Discographies - new on the IASA website

This online bibliography has been compiled collaboratively by Peter Laurence, Filip Sir, and a team of two students on behalf of the IASA Discography Committee. Many contributions were also made by individual collectors and discographers, as well as colleagues from peer associations and memory institutions.

Once complete, it will include information about all current and out-of-print discographies published worldwide in print and electronic formats, including unpublished work in progress.

Gramophone Museum anniversary Seminar

Anniversary seminar 2017 Final call for Paper Presentation/Workshop Our gramophone museum and records archive enters 3rd year of operation on 25th January 2017. A two-day Seminar cum practical workshop program and a visit to Cochin is scheduled for the 26th, 27th and 28th of January 2017. As in the previous years, good National and International participation is expected. It is indeed a suitable occasion for like-minded enthusiasts like us to have a get together, right inside the museum.
